There’s a great event planned for Ballybunion this weekend – a women in media seminar with some of Ireland’s biggest names including Miriam O’Callaghan, Mary Kenny, Catherine O’Halloran and politicians including Mary Lou McDonald and Aine Collins.

It’s being organised in memory of the late Mary Cummins who was a journalist with the Irish Times, and unlike many other media conferences it’s extremely good value for money.

Unfortunately I can’t attend as I have personal commitments this weekend, but I hope it does well, and hopefully I will get there next year!
