It’s the busiest time of year for events, and I have lots of awards ceremonies and other events coming up between now and Christmas!

This month though I am looking forward to hosting:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cork Talks, a night of interesting speakers and topics on Friday 27 September! 

We will explore topics like the psychology of terrorism, the future of electronic currencies, and a beginner’s guide to bee keeping. With our variety of speakers and topics, there’s sure to be something for everyone!

The jam-packed schedule includes:
Sustainability and Climate Change:
Hear about the extinction of birds from Tom Reed, the future of dairy-free diets from Laurence Shaloo and a beginners guide to beekeeping from Archie Laffin.

The Future of Us:
Eleanor Doyle will be on hand to teach us about cryptocurrencies, along with Joseph Whelan who will speak about Universal Basic Income and Ken Brown and Dirk Pesch will get us all up to scratch on Smart Cities.

The Psychology of Crime:
Orla Lynch will speak to us about the psychology of terrorism. She will be joined on this panel by Robert Bolton, who is going to speak to us about why we commit violent crime’. Local crime fiction writer Kevin Doyle will join this panel to talk about the prevailing popularity of Crime Fiction.
