I have wanted to work in the media for as long as I can remember. Being allowed to tell someone else’s story is the ultimate privilege, and being paid to talk, write and read is the best job I can imagine.
I studied Law & European Studies at the University of Limerick, graduating in 2006 with first class honours.
After working as editor of my student newspaper and as a freelance journalist in Limerick, I moved to Galway where I worked as a reporter and later deputy editor of the Galway Independent.
From there I moved to Cork to become editor of the Cork Independent, which brought opportunities on radio and TV with Newstalk, RTE and TV3’s Tonight with Vincent Browne. I became editor of the Cork’s 96fm Opinion Line in 2014 and continue to write opinion pieces for the Herald and Evening Echo, and to appear regularly on RTE Today with Maura and Daithi.
