I’m really looking forward to the election count tomorrow and Sunday. I’ve covered counts before, but as a purely print reporter.
This will be the first one I am tweeting and live blogging and I’m looking forward to the utter confusion of it all! You can follow my tweets on @deshocks (I’ll be mainly covering Cork North Central) and those of my colleague Peter Tobin (@peterindo) who will be covering Cork South Central. Two very interesting constituencies and I’m dying to find out how it all works out.
We’ll be liveblogging the whole thing through the Cork Independent website on www.corkindependent.com (click the Election 2011 tab) and on http://corkindependent.wordpress.com. Peter will be appearing on Cork Community TV throughout the day and I will be chatting to Jonathan Healy (@jonathanhealy) for a special Newstalk OB from City Hall at some stage in the afternoon.
Any feedback welcome!
